A wiki magazine that allows user contributions.

Based on the same technology behind Wikipedia, Das Magazin is the online version of a weekly paper magazine based in Switzerland. With a readership of 770,000, it is a household name and the flagship magazine of Switzerland’s main publishing house.

My Involvement

Interaction Design

Designed and implemented a new editing process, including ways to publish and classify articles to weekly issues. Designed a replacement for the default wikipedia text editor.

Technology research & evaluation

Researched various wiki platforms and evaluated them for suitability to our designs.

Programming & implmentation

Developed the entire website from the standard Mediawiki installation (see Wikipedia).
