An online manufacturer of pins and buttons

Six Cent Press is a Canadian company with operations in Japan. The offer a wide range of products and services including design and manufacturing of pin back buttons and magnets. Users select the type and quantity of pin and can upload their own designs.

My Involvement

Heuristic Evaluation

Conducted a comprehensive review of the existing website using common usability guidelines. Resulted in the production of a recommendations document (PDF, 122kb).

Order process

Designed and implemented a custom order process. Broken into 3 steps, it allows users to select from the entire product and service range, upload or request designs, and confirm the process.

User testing & reporting

Order process was tested and refined with 3 users identified as fitting with the Six Cent Press target market (bands, event organisers & boutique shops).

Sixcentpress was a freelance client during my first year in Japan.
